| Overhaul/ Revalving Price Chart |
What is done in an Overhaul? --- The shock absorber is disassembled for replacement/repair of all sliding parts, oil and/or damaged components, in order to maintain/restore shock absorber’s full potential.
What is Revalving? --- In addition to an overhaul, damping force specifications are adjusted by changing the combination of inner components, according to the usage and/or drivers’ preference. We may decline revalving requests if revalving could lead to performance degradation, breakage and/or accidents. |
*Prices shown are per single damper/part.
*When sending damper in for Overhaul/ Revalving, spring and mount must be detached. Not doing so may incur an additional disassembly charge of JPY 2,100 per damper.
If you send us damper(s) with parts attached, we will charge an additional disassembly fee of JPY2100 per damper, and cleaning/ assembly of the extra parts removed will not be undertaken.
*Basic overhaul work consists of disassembly inspection, cleaning, oil change, seal replacement and gas refilling.
*1: Only available through TEIN Master Shops, Type GRV, HG, RE, RS, HT & SRC.
*2: Basic overhaul is required when revalving is requested.
*3: Special process is required, which incurs an additional charge of JPY4200 for basic overhaul job. (Hydraulic cylinder and unit components are not included. Only available through TEIN Technical Shop.) |

*Prices shown include trade-in of worn/damaged parts. The parts will be used for research and development to further improve product quality.
* Decision to replace parts or not is made when inspection is performed, upon acceptance of overhaul order and/ or disassembly, and is based on our standards.
*1: Only available through TEIN Master Shop or TEIN Technical Shop.
*2: When piston rod is replaced, price of piston rod includes adjustable dial (except damping force non-adjustable damper).

Repair, replacement & measurement work will be undertaken without disassembling shock absorber unit.
You will be notified if such work is not available, due to damage etc.

*1: TYPE NR/ RA may require overhaul work to be done with adherence repair. Dust deal needs to be replaced, for inverted types.

When requesting EDFC compatibility, please make sure to clearly indicate on the Overhaul/ Revalving Request Form that you want “EDFC Compatibility”, and send us the shock absorber, pillow ball upper mount and pillow nut together. We recommend that you send the damper disassembled because we will charge a disassembly fee.
* When having EDFC compatibility for pillow upper mounts, the shaft top will have to be positioned about 11.5mm lower. As a result, ‘bump touch’ may occur earlier and, lowering the ride height may become difficult, depending on the settings. |
